Call us opposites… one creative mind and one analytical… but the combination equals the perfect partnership.

We have been best friends for over thirty years and have seen each other through all the ups and downs of life. Together we’ve been through college, marriage, pregnancies and adoption. We have shared the excitement of bringing home a new baby and the heartache of dropping one off at college. Through all these crazy life events we have supported and admired each others busy (and vastly different) careers. As college students we dreamed of living down the street from one another, and that one day we would be strolling our kids and having coffee together every morning.  Well that never quite worked out, finally going into business together is a close match. 

Jennifer has worked in the interior design field for over twenty years at multiple of the Valley’s top firms, while Juanita has spent fifteen years in the financial services world at Charles Schwab. When Juanita decided to leave her career in the financial services industry to have more time to spend with her husband and son, Jennifer had a great idea. Juanita should start working part-time at the interior design firm Jennifer was currently with. Juanita agreed and came on board to help with the books, billing, purchasing etc., basically all the tedious and unglamorous (yet extremely necessary) parts of any successful design business.

After three years we found that we were both more creative and productive working from home or wherever we may be traveling rather than using a traditional office.  So we took the leap of faith together and created NoMad Design in pursuit of simple and more fulfilling lives and careers.
